The Rock of the Marne Memorial Park at The Settlement will honor the heroes of the 3rd ID who died in the Battle of the Marne near Paris in 1918 – the decisive Allied victory which ended the final German offensive of World War I. Offering a special place for reflection and respect, the Park will also stand as a tribute to the rich heritage and the proud traditions of the 3rd ID. And most importantly to those who proudly serve – men and women, past, present, and future.
